Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. Her mom raised her in the USA in a place where she endured many racial taunts that caused her to feel as someone who was not wanted. In her 9th year that she started to feel more confident after being highly praised during an audition. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams were changed. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. The role of The Lady of The Lake was her most memorable success, and earned an award for her performance, an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. Later in the same year she appeared on the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. A well-known performer, she also has released an album and a musical. She is also an activist and works extensively for LGBT rights.
